
Update | Mudgee Region Tourism have taken home gold for Destination Marketing at the 2017 Australian Tourism Awards in Darwin on Friday night.
Friday | Mudgee Region Tourism has once again been recognised for excellence in tourism, having been announced as a finalist in the 2017 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards for its Reset Your Senses campaign.
Qantas Australian Tourism Awards is the tourism industry’s premier awards event and have been running for more than 30 years, recognising and creating outstanding products and service for visitors, generating growth and jobs to their respective states and regions.
The Australian Tourism Awards nomination further cements the region’s outstanding achievements in travel experiences after winning Gold for Destination Marketing at a regional and state level.
Russell Holden, Chairman of Mudgee Region Tourism says, “We are very excited to be nominated a finalist for the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. The aim behind ‘Reset Your Senses’ was to showcase the amazing produce, people and places behind the Mudgee Region, and this nomination is a true reflection of our team’s success.”
The announcement also follows the recent success of the new ‘Let’s Skip Town Together’ campaign, a partnership with Destination NSW aiming to increase visitation, expenditure and awareness of the Mudgee region.

Winners will be announced at the 2017 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, Friday 24 February at the Darwin Convention Centre
