- Bowdens Silver Project
If the silver price improves we can expect Kingsgate Consolidated to submit its Environmental Assessment for their project at Lue, near Mudgee.
Bowdens is an epithermal silver deposit with a resource of approximately 182 million ounces of silver equivalent.
Plans are for an open pit mine and concentrator, which will process an annual throughput of four million tonnes per year.
The project will create around 300 jobs during construction and 200 during operation.
- Bylong Coal Project
During 2015 it is expected KEPCO Bylong will submit its Environmental Assessment as part of the next stage in planning approval.
The mine will cover about 3000 hectares in the Bylong Valley and will include two open-cut pits and an underground mining area.
Bylong Coal Project proposes to supply up to 6.5 million tonnes of thermal coal per annum to the export market.
Construction is proposed to commence in late 2016 for a period of approximately two years and the mine life is estimated at 25 years.
